A couple weeks before you begin preparing for your garage sale, take time to shop at other local garage sales. Pay attention to pricing and how others display their items.
Garage Sale Prep: Organize & Hang Pictures on a Wall
When having a garage sale, hang pictures on a wall. This protects your frames, frees up table space, and makes it easier for buyers to view the frames you have for sale.
Organize athletic equipment
Use bungee cords to create a cage for athletic equipment. The bungee cords make it easy to see and retrieve the items while keeping them from overtaking your garage or storage area.

Purchase products with recyclable packaging
Have you ever noticed how similar products can be packaged differently? In this photo, the toothpaste on the left can't be recycled, but the one on the right can be recycled because the container is #5. When you shop and have to choose between two products, find out if either if the packaging can be recycled.
