To make it easier to handle incoming mail and papers, create an "Inbox" for each family member. Once the incoming mail is brought inside your home, sort it by placing mail for each family member in the appropriate slot.

Overtime, most junk drawers become a catchall for miscellaneous items and other items that actually belong elsewhere. It's a good idea to reassess your junk drawer every few months. Discard or relocate the items that you don't need to store in this drawer. The emptier the drawer, the easier it is to find the items you use.

Hooks can make a difference in your garage!

Use hooks to organize your rakes, brooms, shovels and other yard items. Space each item far enough apart so each one is easy to access without having to move another item out of the way.
